What: Free panel and networking event on computing careers in the age of AI, co-hosted by the MSU Gianforte School of Computing, the Montana High Tech Business Alliance, and the Montana Jobs Network

When: 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. on Monday, September 15th

Where: Montana State University, Reid Hall, Room 105, Bozeman, MT and virtual (link and video recording will be sent to all registered participants)

How can computer science graduates prepare for a job market transformed by artificial intelligence?

Join the MSU Gianforte School of Computing, the Montana High Tech Business Alliance, and the Montana Jobs Network for a conversation with industry leaders on how AI is reshaping computing careers, internships, and employer expectations.

The event will feature a 45-minute employer panel and Q&A (4:00 – 4:45 p.m.) followed by networking with snacks (4:45 – 5:30 p.m.). Students will gain practical advice on the skills, roles, and opportunities that matter most in today’s rapidly evolving tech landscape.

This free session is designed to help students and new grads understand:

What employers look for in candidates today
How to stand out when applying for jobs and internships
Local opportunities to build your career in Montana’s tech sector

About the Hosts:

The Gianforte School of Computing at Montana State University educates undergraduate and graduate students in the principles and practices of computing, preparing them for computing careers and for a lifetime of learning.

The Montana High Tech Business Alliance (MHTBA) is a statewide nonprofit association of about 200 high-tech and manufacturing firms, working to grow Montana’s innovation economy by connecting leaders, talent, and opportunities.

The Montana Jobs Network (MJN) connects Montanans to high-paying, high-demand career opportunities across the state, with a focus on workforce development, career pathways, and employer partnerships.
